I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
